On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, I announced my candidacy for the Ward 5 seat on the Council for the District of Columbia (DC Council). It was the journey of a lifetime. While I did not win the race on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, I was victorious and thankful for all I learned. Because of my leap of faith ;), I fell even more deeply in love with my forever home, Ward 5, and the District of Columbia.
